a - For a minimal amount of minutes (100 or less) there are two options:
o2 - 100 minutes and unlimited texts, £30 per month and £209 for the handset.
This works out at an average of £41.61 a month.
Vodafone - 75 minutes and 250 texts, £30 per month and £220 for the handset.
This works out at an average of £42.17 a month.
Although this appears to be a worse offer than the one above, it includes 1gb of mobile internet a month as opposed to the o2 contract which only includes 500mb per month. Therefore I recommend this plan over the one above if you are a heavy user of mobile data.
b - For more than 100 minutes but less than 600 the best value contract to get is:
Vodafone - 300 minutes and unlimited texts, £35 per month and £169 for the handset.
This works out at an average of £44.39 a month.
c - If you use 600 minutes every month the best contract to get is:
Vodafone - 600 minutes and unlimited texts, £40 per month and £119 for the handset.
This works out at an average of £46.61 a month.
o2 also offer the same deal, but vodafone's contract is better value as it includes 1gb of mobile internet and o2 only offer 500mb for the same price.
c - If you use 900 minutes every month the best contract to get is:
Orange - 900 minutes and 500 texts, £40 per month and £169 for the handset.
This works out at an average of £49.39 a month.
or if you would like unlimited texts:
Vodafone - 900 minutes and unlimited texts, £45 per month and £89 for the handset.
This works out at an average of £49.94 a month.
d - If you use 1200 minutes every month the best contract to get is:
Vodafone - 1200 minutes and unlimited texts, £50 per month and £29 for the handset.
This works out at an average of £51.61 a month.

e - If you use more than 1200 minutes every month the best contract to get is:
o2 - unlimited minutes and unlimited texts, £65 per month and a free handset.
This works out at an average of £65 a month.
